Make a post

Photos or a video, accounts, caption and time, in Compose.

Everything happens in Compose, from top to bottom.

Photos or video

Drop up to 10 photos for a carousel, or one video. Drag the thumbnails to change the order. Press From library to reuse files you uploaded before. Each file is checked against the platforms you picked; a red line under the files says what a platform would refuse. See File limits.

Where it goes

Tap the accounts to post to. pickthepost remembers your choice for the next post.

Caption

One caption is used everywhere unless you give a platform its own. See Captions per platform.

When

Next free slot takes the next time from your posting slots that no other post uses. Pick a time is any day and time (Swiss time). Save as draft keeps it until you schedule it.

Name

The name is for you (it shows on the calendar), never posted. It is filled in from the caption's first words.

The preview

On the right, each platform shows the post the way its feed will: Instagram cuts the caption after about 125 characters with "more", Facebook after about 480 with "See more".
