First comments

A comment posted right after your post, by your own account.

A first comment is posted by your account the moment the post is live: a question to your followers, a link, or hashtags kept out of the caption.

Add one

In Compose, open the platform's tab under the caption and fill in First comment. Use on every platform copies it to the others.

Where it works

Instagram, Facebook and Threads. Bluesky has no first comments in pickthepost. On Facebook and Threads, the account's key needs the permission to comment; without it the post still goes out, and the post shows "first comment not posted" with the reason.
