Disconnect an account or delete your data
Remove an account from pickthepost, cancel its access on the platform, and have your data deleted.
Disconnect one account
- Open Accounts.
- On the account's card, press Disconnect, then Disconnect again to confirm.
pickthepost deletes its key for that account at once, so it can no longer post there or read its numbers. Posts already published stay on the platform. If waiting posts use the account, pickthepost says so first: they will fail for that account unless you connect it again.
Cancel the access on the platform too
| Platform | Where |
|---|---|
| TikTok | Done for you: Disconnect also asks TikTok to cancel pickthepost's access. |
| In Instagram settings, open "Apps and websites" and remove pickthepost. | |
| In Facebook settings, open "Business integrations" and remove pickthepost. | |
| Threads | In Threads settings, open "Website permissions" and remove pickthepost. |
| Bluesky | In Bluesky settings, open "App passwords" and delete the one you made for pickthepost. |
When you remove pickthepost on Instagram, Facebook or Threads, Meta tells us, and pickthepost deletes that account's key by itself.
Have your data deleted
- Through Meta. When you remove pickthepost in Facebook's, Instagram's or Threads' settings, you can also ask for your data to be deleted. Meta sends us the request and pickthepost carries it out at once: it deletes the account's key and the numbers it read about the account's posts. Meta gives you a confirmation code with a link to a page on pickthepost.com that shows the request was done.
- By writing to us. Use the contact form with the topic Privacy or my data. We delete everything we hold about you, including your posts, photos and videos, within 30 days, and confirm by email.
What we hold, and for how long, is in the privacy notice.
